1. Purge unused items, try having a garage sale. Maximize the garage sale by handing out flyers advertising your home to everyone who comes!
2. Confirm it you write"Shown By Appointment Only" below your phone number on your sign, and on your flyer. Not all door knockers will be eliminated but it will keep most from showing up unannounced and walking in whenever they feel like it. (Not everyone is as well mannered as you or I!)
3. Ensure your home has a pleasant aroma! Try vanilla scented candles or even better, bake some chocolate chip cookies in the oven just before your "Open House". You can cheat by using ready-made dell available at the grocery center!
4. Light a few candles and your bathrooms. Additionally you can add fresh cut flowers to a vase on your dining room table and helps with ambience.
5. During an "Open House", if you have pets, keep them at a friends house or some other location for the day. Many people are allergic to dogs, cats and other pets that we love.
6. Pick up some fresh plants at the nursery to the outside of your home as well as the inside I would suggest adding them to your porch. One great place to place fresh plants is just outside the front door. In addition to being visually stimulating a smell well.
7. It’s nice of you to check with your neighbors when planning your open house to see if it’s okay to Prospect Park in front of their homes!
8. Open the curtains and blinds and put the lights on in any dark rooms of the house to lighten things up. Bright well lit roads look larger and more cheery and closed up dark depressing rooms.
9. Start packing items you don’t often use and put them away in the garage or attic. This helps to homes appear more spacious helping you sell more quickly.
10. Organize, organize, organize. Go through each area that will be seen by a potential buyers and organize and make that area looks specious to all buyers. Making these changes enhances the appearance of your home.
